What cloud slime feels like

Cloud slime feels soft, airy and a little dry to the touch. Squeeze it and it puffs back up. Lift it and stretch it slowly, and it breaks into soft, snowy ribbons that drizzle back into the pot.

It makes a gentle, papery crackle as you squish it, which is why ASMR fans love it. It is lighter than butter slime, so it feels less like dough and more like a handful of fresh snow — without the cold hands.

Who cloud slime is for

Cloud slime suits anyone who loves to watch slime move. It is low-mess and forgiving, so it works well as a first slime for younger children (ages 3+, with adult supervision under 8). ASMR fans like the drizzle and the crackle, and it is a lovely texture for quiet, calming sensory play at the end of the day.

If you already own a butter slime, cloud slime is the easiest way to try something that feels completely different.

How to store and care for cloud slime

Cloud slime likes to be kept sealed. Put it back in its airtight pot as soon as you finish playing, because its fluffy texture dries out faster than butter slime when it is left open. Store it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and damp, steamy rooms. Play with clean, dry hands on a clean, smooth surface, and keep it away from carpets and clothes.

With good care, cloud slime usually stays at its best for 1–3 weeks. It naturally becomes a little less fluffy over time, and that is normal for this texture.

Cloud slime vs other slime textures

Compared with butter slime, cloud slime is lighter and fluffier, and it pulls apart into drizzles rather than spreading. Butter slime is denser, quieter and holds its shape. Thick and glossy slime is heavier, shinier and much stretchier, and icee slime is sizzly and snow-like.
