Best Slime Gifts UK: The Christmas Slime Gift Guide 2026
Quick Answer: The best slime gifts in the UK this Christmas are handmade slimes, mixed to order in small batches. Amber's six slimes cost £8.99 (butter) or £9.99 (cloud), five or more ship free, and a new Christmas slime is launching soon. For delivery before Christmas, we recommend ordering by 10 December.
Slime has become one of the most dependable Christmas presents for kids. It fits in a stocking, it doesn't need batteries or a screen, and it's still being squished long after the wrapping paper has gone out with the recycling.
At Amber's Slime Studio, every pot is handmade by Amber in Hertfordshire. This guide matches each of our slimes to the child on your list, explains how to get free UK delivery, and sets out when to order so your gift arrives in time.
A Christmas Slime Is on the Way
We're working on a festive slime for Christmas 2026, and it's launching soon. We don't want to spoil the surprise before it's ready, so keep an eye on the slime shop or follow @ambersslimestudio on Instagram for the launch.
You don't need to wait if you'd like to get ahead, though. Every slime in this guide is available to order now.
Why Handmade Slime Makes a Good Christmas Gift
You can pick up a tub of slime in plenty of toy aisles. So why choose handmade?
- It's mixed to order. Your slime is made after you order, so it arrives soft and stretchy.
- There are two textures to choose from. Our butter slime is thick, smooth and holds its shape, which makes it the easiest texture for younger children. Our cloud slime is light and snowy, with a soft drizzle that falls through your fingers.
- Every pot feels like a present. Each 250ml pot has its own scent, colours and charms, and comes with a printed care card.
- You're supporting a young maker. Every order is made, packed and posted by a small family business in Hertfordshire.
Six Slime Gifts, Matched to the Kid on Your List
Five of our slimes are butter slime at £8.99, and one is cloud slime at £9.99. Here's who each one suits.
For the Sweet Tooth: Cotton Candy Swirl
Cotton Candy Swirl is a pink-and-white butter slime that smells like a candyfloss stall, loaded with lolly and sweet charms. It's a lovely all-rounder if you don't know the child well.
For Animal and Bath-Time Fans: Ducky Bubble Bath
Ducky Bubble Bath is an aqua-blue butter slime with a juicy passion fruit scent and duck and bubble charms. It's bath-time fun with no water needed, and it's a lovely pick for younger children.
For the Child Who Has Everything: Break the Bank
Break the Bank is a creamy caramel butter slime with a chocolate scent and gold and crystal rhinestone charms. It's our most sparkly slime, and spotting the "treasure" is half the fun on Christmas morning.
For Music Fans: K-Pop O'Clock
K-Pop O'Clock is a bubblegum-scented butter slime with bold black and purple swirls and charms. It's a strong pick for tweens and teens who care about the look as much as the squish.
For Football Fans: Sports Launch
Sports Launch is a bright green butter slime with a fresh lime scent, sports sprinkles and football charms. It sits neatly in a stocking next to the new shin pads.
For Texture Explorers: Emoji Madness
Emoji Madness is our sunshine-yellow cloud slime with cheerful emoji charms. It's light and snowy rather than thick, so it makes a great second slime for a child who already loves butter slime. Not sure which texture to choose? Our butter slime vs cloud slime guide compares them side by side.
The Five-Slime Trick: Free UK Delivery
Standard UK delivery is £4.99, but order five or more slimes and delivery is free. That opens up two tidy options:
- One slime each for five children. Nieces, nephews, cousins or school friends, with every present sorted in one order.
- A full set for one slime fan. Five or six different scents and colours make an impressive main present.
Five butter slimes come to £44.95 with free delivery. Our guide to getting free slime delivery in the UK explains how the threshold works, or you can buy slime gifts in the UK straight from the shop.
When to Order Slime for Christmas 2026
Every slime is made to order. We usually dispatch within 1–2 working days, but at busy times like December it can take up to 5 working days. Orders placed Monday to Wednesday aim to ship the same week. After that, your parcel travels with Royal Mail.
Royal Mail usually publishes its official Christmas last posting dates in the autumn, and it had not confirmed its 2026 dates when we checked on 14 September 2026. Until it does, third-party estimates vary. For example, eParenting's UK last posting dates page suggests:
- 2nd Class: Thursday 17 December
- Royal Mail 24: Monday 21 December
Our advice: order by Thursday 10 December at the latest, and earlier if you can. At busy times like December, dispatch can take up to 5 working days, so an order placed on 10 December should be on its way by Thursday 17 December, in line with the suggested 2nd Class date above. Royal Mail delivery times aren't guaranteed at Christmas, so the earlier you order, the better. We'll confirm our final Christmas order date on the site once Royal Mail publishes its official dates, so please check it before you rely on it.
Shopping early? With good care, our slimes typically last 2–4 weeks, so a pot bought in early November may be past its best by Christmas Day. At checkout you can tick Schedule delivery for a future date and choose a date at least 14 days ahead. We'll make your order closer to the time so it's as fresh as possible. Scheduled orders go by standard delivery, and the date is a target rather than a guarantee.
Wrapping and Gift Notes
Each slime arrives in an airtight pot, which makes it easy to wrap at home. A few ideas:
- Keep the lid on until the big day. The airtight pot keeps the texture right, so wrap the whole pot.
- Wrap it like a bauble. A square of tissue paper and a ribbon takes thirty seconds and looks lovely under the tree.
- Add a gift note. Sending it straight to the recipient? Add a gift note at checkout and we'll include your message with the order.
- Build a small bundle. Pair a slime with a book, some stickers or a hot chocolate sachet for a thoughtful, screen-free gift.
We don't offer gift wrapping at the moment, but a pot of slime is one of the easiest shapes you'll wrap all year.
Who Slime Suits
Our slimes are for ages 3 and up, with adult supervision for children under 8. Each pot contains small charms, so keep it away from babies and toddlers, and remember that slime is for squishing, never eating. Our parents' guide to slime safety covers what to know, and the slime care guide explains how to keep it soft.
If you're buying for someone else's child, it's worth a quick message to the parents first. Most will be delighted, because slime is calming, screen-free sensory play, but every home has its own rules about squishy toys.
However you build your list this year, we hope it's a happy one. And if a pot of slime makes it under the tree, Amber will have made it just for you.
